Abstract

Language is something indispensable to everyone in the world. The urge to express one's own feelings and thoughts, as well as the desire to understand the feelings of others, can be considered the foundations for the emergence of language. Language is a rare art created and preserved by people. It is also a valuable tool that nurtures and elevates the knowledge of the people. Therefore, language is not only an art but also serves as a means to grow knowledge and eliminate ignorance. He passionately asserts that Tamil should be the first language and that using Hindi or English as a second language should be avoided, and education everywhere should be in Tamil alone. It can also be understood that Thanikai Selvan believes that introducing other languages as a second language leads to language mixing and the deterioration of the language. His slogan in his songs is that Tamil should be everywhere, in everything, and in all contexts.
